Currently, about half of sixth graders in primary school are older than 13. Health The overall health of the population, including sexual and reproductive health, remains poor. Infant, child, and maternal mortality rates are among the highest in the world. The low rates suggest that the main risk of HIV/AIDS in Sierra Leone is among high-risk groups, such as commercial sex workers, miners, truck drivers, the police, and the military (UNAIDS 2006).
