It has ample arable land for agricultural crops with areas of timber and woodlands. Industrial development has been made on the Soviet model and held in the public sector. The programs to privatize the industrial sector have caused large but expected drops in production, unemployment and increased dissatisfaction with newly won freedoms and independence. These dislocations (expected as the biggest changes required to make the system work) are in the minds of the people.


Even at this writing, decisions are being made in each of these countries that will attract outside investment and the development of viable systems through which their developing private sector business will grow strong. The development of that strong private sector will direct and manage procuring, manufacturing and marketing of goods and services to and from their individual economies.
